the big 36

Yes, I am closer to 40 than to 30. But as my brother, Monty, said in his birthday text to me..."40 is the new 25, haven't you heard?!"
I had a great birthday. My parents brought lunch over after church. It was a delicious meal of beef stew, cornbread, and snowflake-shaped apple cakes. So festive for a January 9 birthday, don't you think? Even more festive, it started to snow mid-afternoon as I was enjoying a girly movie.
The girls had "an awesome plan" for me to help celebrate my birthday. Roger helped them execute their plan of serving me supper in bed. It was too cute! Oh how I love my three little blessings, and their daddy. What a wonderful way to start the 36th year of my life. I wouldn't trade 36 for 25 any day.

Happy 36th Birthday! Love the "awesome plan" the girls had! I wouldn't go back to 25 either. :)
