all dressed up

Avery had her pre-k Christmas program last week. She had been singing and teaching us the songs for over a month. We sat and listened to many "concerts". Sometimes with her sisters singing backup and sometimes with instruments. Avery was so excited to sing the night of her concert. She wanted to put on her pretty dress the minute she got up from her nap, and was disappointed that I made her wait until after she ate supper. We enjoyed watching her sing...such a big girl. I love my pre-k(er)!

advent

carriage ride
make your own pizza night
paint fingernails Christmas colors
camp out by the Christmas tree
have a picnic for supper
This is the fourth year (I think!) that we have enjoyed doing activites every day of advent. The girls are excited each day to see what we are going to do. Here is a list of some of the other activities we have had fun doing: play hang the ornament on the Christmas tree, play Santa Says, eat ice cream sundaes, play with Play doh and use Christmas cookie cutters, have breakfast for supper, and dance like crazy to music. I can't believe that Christmas is less than a week away! Our family memory verse this month is "God loved the world so much that He have his one and only Son, Jesus. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life." John 3:16 What a great reminder during this busy season.

Thanksgiving 2012

We were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my entire family...yes, all 25 of us (well, 26 counting baby Wolfe!). I LOVE it when we all get together! We enjoyed delicious food, laughing, playing, riding the 3-wheeler and 4-wheeler, driving around in the mule, shopping, Starbucks, shooting blue rock, and taking family pictures. I am so happy that my girls get to have these special memories of the holidays.

all because two people fell in love

Thanksgiving Day~November 2012 This picture makes me smile...love these people!
This picture makes me laugh...love these kiddos!

upset the fruit basket

The girls wanted to have a sleepover in their room with Lydia. They had also been asking if they could switch beds for the night. After just a lot of little giggling and talking, they settled down and went to sleep. Nov. 2012

great basin thatched wickiup

November 2012 Emilia had to make a Native American home and do a report on the people who lived in the home. She chose to make a Great Basin thatched wickiup. Daddy was in charge of helping her with building the home. They had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for it. She did a great job presenting her home and report...a perfect score!

sleeping beauties

November 2012 I sometimes take pics of the girls sleeping just because they look so peaceful and sweet. (Although Avery looks like she's frowning!)
Check out this silly sleeping girl! I took this pic a few nights later.
