"my little girl school"

Avery has been going to kids day out at a local church for a month now. She attends every Wednesday from 9:30-1:00. I pack her a little lunch in her "butterfly lunch bag" as she calls it. She gets to listen to a little bible lesson, do a craft, have a snack, play with puzzles and play dough, sing songs, play on the playground, eat lunch, and have free play while she is there. She loves it! I posted a few pictures of her first day back in September.

one talented guy

Check out what Roger worked on over the summer. Amazing...love it! We are really enjoying the space now that the evenings are cooler. He still wants to plant more and fill in between the big rocks with river rocks, but that will probably be next spring. Isn't he good?

**Aunt Diana and Uncle Leroy...look how beautiful the cannas are that you gave us! We have gotten so many compliments on them. Thank you!

feeling crafty

I was looking through the Halloween edition of the pottery barn kids catalogue and noticed a trick-or-treat pennant. Wanting it for my mantel, but not wanting to pay their price, I decided I could make my own. Here is what I came up with!

lydi's 1st birthday parties

Lydia and her little friend, Miles, were born just 12 days apart. Michele and I thought it would be fun to have their first birthday parties together. We had a blast planning and executing the party. It was wonderful having our two families together to celebrate the miracle of our little babies. What a blessing it was to share this experience with my friend!

We also had a little celebration on the day of Lydia's birthday. Megan and my parents were able to spend the evening with us. I made the traditional 1st birthday lambie cake. My dad was nice enough to point out that it looked like a polar bear...kind of did actually! Love our little Lydi!
