our brave girl

Emilia had been suffering from swollen tonsils and adnoids for over two months. A visit to an ENT specialist confirmed that she needed them out. Last week she had a tonsillectomy and adnoidectomy. She did great the morning of the surgery. She was so brave. Once we got her home, she rested the rest of the day...eating a lot of jello, drinking water, and watching movies. That evening, Megan and Cody brought a delicious dinner over and spent some time with us. Michele and Sophie brought over a stencil book and card for Emilia. Grandma and Grandad spent to evening with us, too. They all had to check up on their girl.
The last week and a half has had it's periods of ups and downs for her, but for the most part she has done a great job recovering from her surgery. What a big girl she is!
