Around the time Lydia turned 3 weeks, she was screaming out in pain for most of the day. We were pretty sure it was colic. Everything I read pointed to that fact. And so...we did everything we could to keep her comfortable so that she wouldn't scream and we prepared ourselves for the long road ahead of us. We got pretty used to the sound of her crying so loud. Sometimes we would have to just put in down and let her cry because she wouldn't even stop screaming when we would hold her. We figured out that a dark room with a fan going calmed her down the best...along with the cradle hold, walk, bounce, pat routine.
After about 4 weeks of seeing her in such pain, I finally called her pediatrician. Their recommendation was to try gripe water and probiotic drops for a week or so. No change. So, another call into her doctor. She recommended Lydia seeing a chiropractor, Dr. Scharenberg. We had heard about him but were not sure about sending a little one and a half month old baby to him.
Well...what a blessing he turned out to be. Just after Lydia's first treatment there was a noticeable difference in her. For almost 3 weeks she saw him four times a week. Free of charge even! He told us that he always has a 100% success rate. We are here to tell you that he is telling the truth...100%!
Now at almost 3 months old, we have a much happier baby. Even better, she isn't suffering in pain like she was before! Friends and family say that she has such a sparkle in her eyes and she looks much healthier. Lydia will just sit on our laps, hang out in her bouncer or swing, or simply just lay on the floor and be so content.
How grateful we are for Dr. Scharenberg. Little Lydi, there could never be a more beautiful you!
